Research Areas
The research consortium Aging UP! highlights the concept of value-based aging. This concept, introduced via research carried out by Thomas Rapp and Katherine Swartz (Harvard University), proposes recentering older adult policy around the preferences and expectations of older people and their caregivers.
The Aging UP! team is working on the roll-out of an international survey, the Aging UP! survey, which aims to identify and analyze individual preferences with regard to three key topics:
- Long-term care organization
- Innovation and prevention
- Funding for loss of independence
The Aging UP! research consortium is supported by Mutuelles AXA and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (French Deposits and Consignments Fund).
