Taedong (Ted) Yun is a Research Engineer at Google DeepMind. His research interest at Google DeepMind (and previously Google Brain) includes machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous agents, causal inference, computational biology, and AI for biomedicine & healthcare. Before joining Google, Ted was an academic mathematician and a data visualization researcher/engineer.
He holds a PhD in mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).With a background that bridges AI/machine learning research, biomedicine, healthcare, data science, and mathematics, he brings a deep interdisciplinary perspective to tackling complex challenges in healthcare.
In collaboration with the Chaire Aging UP!, Ted is exploring the utility of large language models and generative agent-based models for discrete choice experiments in health economics.
